I'm going to be posting daily prompts to inspire writing, art or journaling. Use these as you would like to help keep your creative practices moving.

Key words/ideas:

  • power and success

  • materialism

  • stability

Some thoughts that occur to me:

  • This card makes me think of those in power and the things they will do to protect that power. Stability as a veneer for coercive control.

  • I have a particular interest in cults and cultic like groups - when does a leader go from being the good king to a cult leader? How do we find that line? How can our perceptions alter based on our points of view?

  • A character is inducted into an ancient magical order, but just uses its power for their own gain. How do the order handle this?

  • An influencer who investigates financial fraudsters becomes frustrated and takes matters into their own hands.

Note that cards are drawn at random and may be drawn more than once. In that case I will repost with an additional idea. I am going to cap the number of repeats at 3 until I’ve been through the whole deck, but other than this I let the luck of the draw decide. Coming up with more ideas for the same card will force me to be more imaginative and its something I strongly recommend.
